Hey there. I haven't updated in a good 2 weeks. I just got home from London and before that was the quarter rush for school. While in London I was inspired. I created a character named Aleister Baum. Aleister Baum is an explorer, scientist, artificier, inventor, thinker, and muscian. He looks at the world in a different way. I wrote a poem centered around him that I will post soon. I took 30 minutes to write it so its kind of half assed, but the story is there.

He is the character that I will center a lot of my writing on for awhile. The setting is a steam punk earth that takes place during the turn of the century, Victorian, Industrial Revolution. Inspired by Jules Verne, HG Wells, Steamboy, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (Heavily), Atlantis... the list goes on. There is no magic as of now but I may take it up some how.

"An Expedition to a Land Far Off"

The character Aleister Baum sends letters to his teacher Allen Goodwell who is the only person from home he takes care of. So at first before I write stories in a traditional sense I have been taking a page out of Robert E Howard's books and Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein" and I am opening with poetry and letters written by the character.

Hope its enjoyed. It is kinda lazy and it is my most recent attempt at poetry... So the rhythm might be hard to read the first time through in my earlier works of the character.
